I decided to do something fun and see how it goes; an experiment if you will. Today I have an interactive post. By that I mean I am going to ask some questions and you can answer the ones you like or all of them in the comments! Ready?
- Have you ever asked someone where they were when MLK was shot or what they were doing when JFK was shot? What was their answer?
- I’ve asked my Grams, she doesn’t remember.
- Who is your favorite person you follow on Instagram?
- I really enjoy Refinery29’s IG if we are talking Brands… I follow a lot of hair/make-up people. A blogger on IG would be GirrlScout 😉
- How many Facebook friends do you have in total vs how many you talk to on a regular basis?
- I got rid of my facebook actually, for personal reasons. I asked before I did if any wanted to still be friends with me on a new one that’s private and under a fake name. About 40 people said yes. So those are my true blue people.
- What was the last art show you attended? Did you buy anything?
- Last art show I attended was forever ago, maybe early 2014? I didn’t buy anything. There were two the same night on Fairfax and both were so crowded that I couldn’t breathe, almost had a panic attack and ended up leaving with my friend and eating Canter’s Deli.
- How often do you get your haircut?
- This is kind of a gag, I’m a hair dresser so I cut my hair all the time.
- If you had to evacuate your home right now, what three material things (other humans & pets are already in the car) would you grab?
- This question came from watching White Oleander (favorite movie of mine) so if you’ve watched it you know the answer is nothing, be brave and take nothing. But I’m sentimental so I’d take my camera, my purse (which would hopefully have my phone & ipad in it) and three things that could never be replaced; a blanket my mom crocheted for my grandma who passed, my bear chair which is a brown fluffy chair I’ve had since I was 2 and someday hope to have my children use and the only surviving picture of my father and I (he is giving the camera the middle finger and I’m laughing at him for it. Describes us perfectly). Everything else can be replaced with some difficulty.
- Do you like your own handwriting?
- Nope, it’s horrible.
- Where were you and what were you doing on 09/11/2001?
- I was in school because that was 8th grade for me. I lived in New Hampshire at the time. The class I was in was Woodshop, because it was during Specials (it was an extra curricular class that changed every quarter when you weren’t learning math, science, history or English) and my history teacher came in, told everyone to shut up and turned on our TV. Then an announcement came on over the P.A system that we were to go to our homeroom classes, quietly and promptly. All teachers were to do a head count then lock their door and if someone was absent they were to page the office. Also, no bathroom breaks. Then we watched the news, some of the kids in my class were freaking out because they had relatives who lived in NYC. My mom’s girlfriend at the time had a brother who was in the Navy Seal’s special unit. He ended up getting deployed after 9/11 but he came to the school to get me in his uniform and it freaked everyone out.
- What is your favorite blog to read?
- If you don’t say mine I’ll cry. Just kidding. My favorite blog to read is probably Zoe London because she’s my kind of gal & her blog design is simple but fun. The header changes with each page load and she removes old ones and adds new ones all the time. Such a fun idea and I don’t think I’ve seen that before on a blog.
- What is a question you’d like to ask me?
Because I’m super awesome I’ve decided that I’m going to make this a contest! The prize isn’t anything remarkable just a goody bag from me featuring some beauty products I love! All you have to do is comment + share this post on social media. 🙂
